How It All Started…
Founded by Hairstylist Marissa Wattinger, Steal Your Sister's Salon is a renowned brand featuring an array of services, including tailored hair coloring, hair care, and opulent styling….but with an atmospheric twist. Overall, every brand has its origins, but Steal Your Sister's Salon’s roots are ones that stem from a place far more intrinsic; a place of sisterhood, family, and instilling the beauty of friendship.
Being a younger sister, Marissa continuously looked up to her older sister Bethany. Viewing her as both a best friend and a strong, independent, and caring role model growing up, that admiration inevitably inspired Marissa to be just like her. And you guessed it; this inevitably resulted in Marissa copying everything she was doing, including stealing her clothes and hairstyles. Though this ‘stealing’ eventually turned into ‘borrowing’ as the sisters got older, Marissa’s admiration for her sister, her hard-working nature, and devotion to waking up every morning to be the best she can remained strong. So strong that when Marissa pursued her career as a Cosmetologist/Hairstylist, she knew exactly what to name her salon to both encompass and share that inspirational, motivational, and instilled sisterhood vibe with others.
