Establishing Steal Your Sisters Salon on the foundation of integrity, Marissa Wattinger is a highly passionate hairstylist who enjoys every moment of delivering fun, empowering, and luxury-styled services to every person who walks through the door. As a professional driven to help others achieve their unique versions of success, Marissa brings with her an extensive background involving color; versed extension processes, signature blonding, cutting/styling to smoothing treatments.
Native to Sarasota, Florida and born with both an entrepreneurial spirit and a love for all things self-adorning, it ultimately became the catalyst for Marissa to attain a degree from Make-Up Designory based in Soho, NY at age 18. With this as her base, Marissa began working in a high-volume salon as their in-house makeup artist, which sharpened her passion for cosmetology. Committed to the industry, Marissa attended cosmetology school. Later making Austin, Texas her home after meeting her now husband during a girl’s trip (his hometown), Marissa soon blended her education, passion for the field, and natural-born fire for entrepreneurship to launch Steal Your Sisters Salon.
Overall, nothing makes Marissa happier than helping others attain the ‘beyond the chair’ confidence and results that enable them to both look and feel their absolute best. From one-on-one consultations to tailored executed results. This, in conjunction with her sisterhood energy, reputation for treating every client like family, and full-range services for both long-stayers and lunch breakers, can give you the assurance that your goals are in the hands of someone who values exceptional quality just as much as you do.
In the end, Marissa loves what she does and is always seeking ways to raise the bar even more for her clients. However, when she is not working, you can often find Marissa scoping out new coffee shops, sipping margaritas during brunch on Sundays, sprucing up her lash extensions (haven’t missed an appointment yet!), reminiscing the gorgeous sunsets over the water on the Sarasota beaches, hiking the beautiful trails of Austin, and as a family first woman, spending time with her husband and pups.
